The exact route and dates will be published in the itinerary section.
The year 2006 marks the twentieth anniversary of the disastrous failure of Reactor 4 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station that has blighted the lives of the children of Belarus forever.
At the end of June three cyclists set out to ride from one end of Britain to the other to raise money for the Chernobyl Children's Lifeline. Ruth Wright learnt about our work through two friends who host for the Bristol Link, and Dean Sheridan is a member of the recently formed Aberdeen Link. Dean was joined by his friend Darren. They funded the trips out of their own pockets and rode about 1,000 miles unsupported.
How can they be "unsupported" if they are all attempting this feat? Well - the twist in the story of these unselfish endeavours is that, whilst Ruth set off from John O'Groats and finished at Lands End, Dean and Darren rode in the opposite direction!
We have established this website to provide information and contacts for all UK Links. You can contact us for more information about the ride and Sponsorship Packs as well as putting you in touch with the riders.
Now that they have completed the trip, read the daily reports tpo see how they managed this tremendous feat.
You can still make a donation!!
